Each of us has different ways of exploring scripture and life questions. One of the ways I've enjoyed doing these explorations has been through storytelling and drama. Sometimes I've been able to find dramas and voiceplays that say what I'm trying to say... other times I've been the writer. Here is a library of sketches that I've written.

All of these are in .pdf form. If you don't have a .pdf reader, I'd suggest Foxit Reader It's an excellent program that doesn't take up as much memory or disk space as Adobe's version.

Sketches

A Walk? Sure!: Written for seven voices, this is a playful recounting of some of Moses' experience as leader of the Exodus people.

Into the Deep Water: Written for an Annual Meeting of London Conference of The United Church of Canada, this sketch built on the theme "Put out into deep water" (Luke 5.1-11). The script was written as a voice play for four voices.

Into the Deep Water (Remix): A re-worked version, moving the focus from The United Church of Canada to the wider church. The script was written as a voice play for four voices.

Lazarus...come out!: This sketch was meant to be an imagined conversation between Jesus and Lazarus in the tomb. Lazarus doesn't particularly want to come back to the land of the living. The script was written as a voice play for two voices.

Philip and the Eunuch: Written in a "film noir" style (ok... I know I'm being pretentious!), this sketch is based on Acts 8.26-40. The script was written as a voice play for two voices.

Rainbow People: Written for an Annual Meeting of London Conference of The United Church of Canada, this sketch explored our need for each other and each other's gifts. The script was written as a voice play for eight voices.

Never: This was written to try and help people get a sense of some of the pain and frustration that many infertile couples face, based on personal experience. The script was written as a voice play for two voices.
